Off-Roading

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I was tossing and turning in bed with my parents pretty early last night - as a result, I'm not sure that any of us got enough sleep. This would come back to haunt us all during the course of the day.

The good news about my swimming class is that we didn't get a repeat of last week's shenanigans... I was happy to get into the water and play and swim as usual, and even leapt into the water from the deck without assistance! Of course, all this excitement tired me out, which made me kinda cranky and demanding.

After lunch, Mommy and Daddy took me to the bookstore, where we all bought a lot of stuff and I played with some kid I met in the kid's section. I dunno what his name was, but I called him 'David'. It worked. We did some more driving about town, and then came home. Mommy collapsed in bed with a headache, so after I got a papercut and freaked out, Daddy put me in my bike trailer and took me for a ride through the park - on Moms bike. We went off-roading along the dirt paths... it was fun. I ate corn puffs and cheered whenever we'd splash in the mud or bounce over bumps.

Daddy and I came home... Daddy cleaned up the house and passed out. Mommy wasn't up for making dinner, so Daddy went out and brought some cheeseburgers and a wicked thunderstorm with him.

Clothesline Fun

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Plans were afoot for Mommy and I to go out today... you know, check out a movie, go to the Science Centre, maybe go for a bike ride... but man, I was just happy to hang out by myself and play in my room, play in the living room, play outside, and keep myself really entertained. Why ruin all my fun? Mommy just sat back and let me just hang out with my toys and stuff. Seriously, I had a great, fun day.

Our washing machines are on the fritz, so Mommy's had to hang all of our laundry and stuff outside on the clothesline. I'm telling you - I find running through hanging laundry to be ridiculously fun. Mommy finds it especially sweet because she remembers doing the same thing as a kid growing up in South Carolina.

After Daddy came home from work (at a normal hour for once!) we had some dinner that none of us enjoyed, and then watched two of my favourite television shows before bed!

Good luck on your marathon tomorrow, Lisa!

Highly Dextrous

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I were pretty slow to get our act together today... I think we were both still in our jammies past noon. Ah well, whatever... t was a foggy day. We're entitled to laze about. I took it easy today, and didn't use the computer much (My Handy Manny game was driving Mommy kinda crazy). Anyhow, Mommy had to go to her doctor's appointment, so I went over to Gammy and Grandpa's house.

I amazed everyone several varieties of dexterity. First of all, I jumped up and down and up and down and up and down on Gammy's bed while watching cartoons, doing some slight acrobatics and stuff. Then Nee-Nee and I played some video games (no Handy Manny), and my use of the mouse and internet browser kinda blew her mind.

After my parents came home (after being stuck on our wonderful transit system for far too long), they took me out for Japanese food. It was pretty awesome, and I got to draw maps all over the placemats.

Remember the Good Times

[As transcribed by Daddy]

While bidding adieu to Daddy as he headed off to work and Mommy & I went to dance class, I asked him to "Remember all the good times we had!" Strange, but funny. Reportedly, I was really into my dinosaur-shaped cheese snack during my class.

Mommy and I had a quiet day at home, and I used the computer as it poured outside. Later in the afternoon, Gammy drove Mommy and I to the Doctor's office. While we were there, Gammy ran into an old friend of the family - I called him "Uncle Afshin" and was pretty friendly around him. He told me to say hi to my Daddy when I got home, but I forgot what I was supposed to tell him.

Daddy was late from work again, but got home in time to help put me to bed. Mommy made some awesome chicken and guacamole burgers for dinner, but there was something on the broiler which filled the apartment with very very spicy smoke. We all coughed ourselves to sleep.

No Mariticide

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I took Basil to the vet for his annual checkup this morning. I was bored in the waiting room, but behaved myself and watched the other animals and stuff. I didn't like the part where he had to get a needle. After we came home, I found a fudgesicle stick that Daddy left sitting around... Mommy saw me with it, and since I'm allergic to milk (Daddy has to eat his fudgesicles in secret) she growled "I'm gonna kill your Dad!" which made me burst into tears - I begged her not to kill my Daddy! She apologized. This story makes Daddy love me even more.

To celebrate and encourage my fingernail-biting ban, Mommy took me to the toy store, where I picked out a cool blue Spinosaurus. In the afternoon Mommy and I practiced my reading and writing - I wrote "Little Bird Hop Row Pig Miss MAN dog Pop NOD" on a piece of paper which impressed the heck out of everyone.

Daddy was late coming home from work again, but he got home in time to say goodnight before I went to bed. I made sure Mommy didn't kill him.

Fingernail Disappointment

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I went to playschool this morning, which was uneventful yet enjoyable. The rest of the day was kinda quiet and low-key... we did the usual kinda thing we do.

Daddy was late coming home from work again, so Mommy and I had a nice evening to ourselves... we had some nice dinner and watched a cool movie! At one point during the film, Mommy caught me biting my fingernails. I didn't realize what I was doing, and suddenly burst into tears! You see, Daddy and I are both trying to stop biting our nails together. I was so worried I had disappointed everyone!

On yesterday's blog entry, Daddy neglected to mention the time during dinner when I told Mommy and Lisa about one of my favourite songs, "THE BITCH WENT NUTS" (Daddy transcribes that in capital letters because that's pretty much how I say it). It was then explained to me how that word isn't polite to say.

It's funny, because Daddy thinks he's so careful about what on his iPod I'm exposed to.

Puppets & Gelato

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Awesome day today. The morning was fairly low-key - the most exciting part was taking Mommy to the butcher to buy groceries. Big deal. Anyway, after lunch, Daddy and Cinnamon Bunny and I went downtown to visit our friend Kristen, and we sure had a great time! I got to meet Gramps, her hamster (I even got to feed him!) and play with some cool puppets and stuff! Daddy's friends Renee and Mike came over, and we did a quick photoshoot in the nearby alleys and out on the street for an upcoming puppet show Renee and Kristen are putting on. The puppet Renee made sure is awesome!

The best part of the day, though, was when we all finally went for ice cream! I had a lovely raspberry gelato (dairy and wheat free) and enjoyed my visit with Kristen and Renee and Mike. As soon as Daddy headed home, I asked to hang out with Kristen again sometime. She's so cool!

When we got home, Lisa and Leo were waiting for us! We all had dinner outside, and sometimes even Cool Uncle Gareth joined us - until it was time for him to go back to You Nork. Leo and I ran around in the backyard and played hide-and-seek with Lisa... Leo would laugh every time any of us said the word 'Goose', so... it was said a lot. As soon as Lisa and Leo went home, it was bedtime... and I was out like a LIGHT.

The Neighbour of all Tantrums

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Nobody's really sure what was up with me today, but I was off from the get-go, and it just kinda put the rest of the day in a similar tone. At my swimming lesson this morning, I refused to get int he water, claiming it was too cold (which never stopped me before), and then I threw the Mother of all Tantrums (well... maybe just the Neighbour of all Tantrums) in the change room, getting me into some big trouble. I had a lot of toy and computer and TV privileges removed.

We kinda stayed home for the rest of the day - Daddy wasn't feeling well, plus it was nice to visit with Cool Uncle Gareth. Daddy and I took Gareth to his dentist's appointment, and then in the later afternoon, Mommy and Daddy and I took a bike ride through the park, which took a lot out of them.

Cool Uncle Gareth and Nee-Nee us all for a nice squid-filled Greek dinner at Gammy and Grandpa's, and then as has been the tradition for the past few nights, I've fallen asleep while Mommy read my dinosaur encyclopedia to me.

Not Appropriate for Children

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Apparently the gods haven't been paying attention to the weather reports, because it wasn't supposed to be as gray and dreary as it was for most of the morning. Mommy and I were kinda cooped up a bit, unfortunately - we did some reading, watched some television, and even watched movie trailers online... I kept deciding what was or wasn't "Appropriate for Children." My default answer is that anything I'm not interested in isn't.

Mommy made a fantastic soup for dinner that really blew our minds - after that, Daddy and I played some of his new video game, which really got me riled up and excited before bedtime, unfortunately.

Meanwhile, I asked Daddy that since his friend Lisa isn't at his work anymore and it's making him kinda sad, maybe I could be his new copywriting partner and go to work with him every day.

The Lobster Incident

[As transcribed by Daddy]

It was such a beautiful day today that Mommy and I decided to pretty much remain outside exclusively. We read magazines, books, played some board games, played with dinosaurs, and all the usual stuff we'd normally do inside... only we did it in the backyard! After a quick flip upside-down from Cool Uncle Gareth, Mommy and I went to the playground, where we saw and hung out with Julie and Sarah and James, and I made a new friend named Max. What a fun time!

After Daddy came home from work and we had a lovely dinner (outside, of course) we did the grocery shopping for the week, and I brought Cinnamon Bunny along (my imaginary and invisible ad intangible friend Lisa came too). The man at the fish counter wanted to show me a lobster, but I was afraid he was going to put Cinnamon Bunny in the bathtub with it - and it made me upset and I kinda freaked out. The poor guy must've been pretty traumatized by my reaction. What can I say... I was tired.

Beware the Lovovor

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Dance class this morning was pretty fun - on the way home, I chased pigeons... Mommy teased me about it, so I told her to stop saying 'funniable' things about me. Once we got home, Mommy asked me to play in my sandbox - I didn't want to, but once I discovered the miniature dinosaurs hidden in it as a surprise, I was happy!

Cool Uncle Gareth came over for a visit this afternoon! I immediately asked him to put me upside-down, which he did. We had a really nice visit... he played with me and read to me and stuff. I cleaned up my room without anybody asking because I wanted to put on a puppet show for him!

After a delicious venison stew dinner, Daddy came home late from work and played with me a lot - I told him all about the word I made up: "LOVOVOR". A Lovovor is a snake that eats dogs and magazines.

No More Blueberry Danishes

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Two breakfasts this morning - afterwards, Mommy and I took a walk over to the bus stop so that we could hit the local farmer's market, which is now open once again for the season! Only once "we" got to the bus stop, "we" realized that "we" forgot our money. So... we went all the way home, got our money, went back to the bus stop, and took the bus to the farmers market!

I was sad that I couldn't have my customary danish (wheat allergy), but I had a good time picking out fruit and stuff, which I all but started eating before Mommy paid for it.

I had something of a testy afternoon - I wasn't really in the mood for gardening, so I dragged a lot of toys into the back yard and had a hard time getting back into the house. Oh well. Daddy read to me and played with me when he got home from work, and we had a nice dinner. So, no sweat.

Seaton Trail IX

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I'm still pretty sad that Eric and Elizabeth and Lola and Olivia have gone home. Oh well. I watched some TV this morning and played some video games, and brought Daddy breakfast in bed with Mommy. After some gerdening work and a simple lunch, we hopped in the car and decided to take Basil out for a hike!

We went back to the Seaton Trail, and were kinda surprised by the large amount of Victoria Day hiking traffic. We tried a new chunk of the trail that we hadn't done before - it was great! Lots of hills, gullies, and fiddleheads. While we walked, Daddy and I discussed the nature of the Universe, and I recited my own weird / skewed / awesome version of The Wizard of Oz (one where Aunt Em and Uncle Henry AND their house AND their swimming pool AND their in-house zoo accompanied Dorothy on her quest).

Once we were home, Mommy and I had a quiet evening after Daddy and Lisa had a quick production meeting downtown with Kristin and Jim. I fought going to bed, but passed out once Cinnamon Bunny was back in my arms.

Kite Cousins

[As transcribed by Daddy]

This morning it was a pancake bonanza - Mommy made fancy pecan blueberry banana pancakes for everyone! Delicious! I had a good morning, and we all had plans to go to the Toronto Island with my cousins, but it was pretty clear that we were all still kinda tuckered out from yesterday's busy day, so... after a lovely lunch, we made backup plans.

And awesome plans they were! We all went down to the beaches and flew a kite at Harris Filtration Plant. Lola and I had fun rolling down hills, Eric and Daddy and struggled with the kite, and we had a great time! We walked along the beach, threw some rocks int he water, and went to a nearby playground. Lola and Olivia and I played and pushed each other on the swings while our folks all watched happily.

We came home in the afternoon and took 'er easy - my cousins and I watched one of my DVDs, and then Mommy made all of us (Including Gammy, Grandpa, and Nee-Nee) a whole batch of fancy pizzas.

At the end of the day, I didn't want to say good-bye to Lola and Olivia and Eric and Elizabeth, and cried and hid to avoid it. But eventually I gave in. I can't wait to see them again in July! We sure had a great time.

Potty Boy & Fire Ant

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Lola and Olivia are here! Yippee!! So are Eric and Elizabeth! Upon waking this morning, I hung out with my visiting cousins before heading off for a quick swimming lesson. After I got back and had a shower, Lola and Olivia and I played in my room for ages. What a blast!

After a nice lunch, we loaded up into two cars and drove out to the zoo for the day. It rained off and on, so we all got kinda wet, but it didn't stop us from having a fun (and exhausting) time. I got to touch the stingrays at the new exhibit, and Lola and I chased each other all over the place, calling each other names like "Pottyboy" and "Fire Ant".

After we got back, we decompressed with a screening of an awesome movie that Olivia brought over. We joined Gammy and Grandpa for a delicious dinner, after which I was pretty much out like a light. It was quite the busy day!

Looking for Fun with Daddy

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I was up somewhat early this morning, but Daddy had the day off from work, so Mommy and I very graciously let him sleep in a bit. Once he was up, he helped us tidy up the house in anticipation of Eric & Elizabeth & Lola & Olivia's arrival... we all had a nice lunch, and then Gammy stopped by to take Mommy flower shopping.

Daddy and I decided to go out on a 'date' together instead - first we drove out to sell some of his old CDs, and then we went to Starbucks and the bookstore. We then drove across the city and had a great time despite the traffic... telling jokes, making up games, and singing songs. We parked downtown and walked around, looking for something "fun" to do - I had a playground in mind. After getting sworn at by a drunken homeless guy and buying some CDs at a cool store, Daddy found something "fun" - the Vespa store! We pretended to be in the market for a scooter, and I tried on all the helmets. What a surprisingly good time!

We drove home, and it was clear to everyone how exhausted I was. I kept crying over the littlest thing, and just seemed to be having great difficulty in general. It was decided that I wouldn't stay up to wait for the Montreal crew's arrival... I was out like a light instead.

Haircut & Sushi

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Man oh man, I was up and in bed with my parents at an early hour and despite all of my kicking and whining, they wouldn't wake up and make me breakfast!

Mommy and I had a nice, quiet morning... I used the computer and went outside when the rain stopped. Mommy helped me make some awesome sandcastles in my sandbox for my dinosaurs to live in. Daddy came home from work early and played with me in the back yard before taking us all down to the beaches so that I could get a haircut.

The haircut was nice - I complained a lot less when the hairdresser pulled the knots out of my hair than I do when Mommy does it. I didn't want to leave (they have toys and a ball put there - see the above photo), but we all decided to go out for sushi for dinner, so... no complaints! It was great! I really pigged out.

Five Awesome Minutes

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I were a little bit late for my dance class this morning, but no biggie. I had a pretty good time. Afterwards, we went over to Canadian Tire and picked up a few odds and ends, including a bunch of heavy bags of sand for my sandbox. Grandpa picked us up and took us home - I played with my dinosaurs in my sandbox for five awesome minutes before it was time for lunch. From then on, I wasn't interested in the sandbox, much to the consternation of my Mom.

The afternoon was trying on Mommy. We baked some cookies that came out kinda weird - but I guess from me not sleeping so well last night, I was really quick to burst into tears. It was a strain on her... I put her through her paces. I played with Daddy before bed... and once it was time, I really fought going to sleep. Mommy couldn't go out to visit Daddy's friends with him as planned, unfortunately.

Everything except Old Ladies

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I took a nice walk down to the playground today, where I played on the slides and swings and stuff. I made the acquaintances of two nice ladies who were visiting with their babies... I told them that I loved "Pink, Dinosaurs, and everything else except Old Ladies." They were in hysterics, and then I confused them by explaining the difference between ornithocheirus and quetzalcoatlus. I also met a little boy named Jared. He's my boyfriend.

We had a nice afternoon - I was very well behaved. After dinner, I went to bed a little bit early so that Mommy and Daddy could go out on a date. Of course, I woke up before they got home and ended up keeping Gammy awake too. They were hoping to go out again tomorrow, but don't want to put Gammy out anymore. I ended up crashing with Mommy for the night once she got home.

WTF

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I both kinda slept in this morning, and missed playschool. I really wanted to go to the playground, but Mommy told me that I'd have to clean my room first. Of course, such an undertaking takes all day, so...

...after we got my room cleaned, we moved over to the bathroom, which Mommy really tore apart and prepped for some caulking. Meanwhile, I was so happy to have a clean room that I decided I'd rather play there than at a silly playground.

After I randomly wrote the acronym "WTF" on my easel, Mommy took me to the drug store to buy some stuff - I had a hard time choosing which treat I wanted, and settled on some Skittles. I ate too many of them, and somehow got Skittleguts all over my face! Daddy came home from work (a rough, rough day) and my Skittle-derived mania helped cheer him up a bit. We had dinner, did some grocery shopping, and went to bed.

WTF indeed!

Mother's Day 'Presents'

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I woke Daddy up really early so that we could make Mommy some mother's day flapjacks. I am happy to report that the flapjacks were not only edible, but kinda good. Go, Daddy! After we all finished eating, he went back to bed on the couch. I gave Mommy a present - I let her share the bucket of dinosaurs my Mommy gave me for Christmas.

We headed out for lunch, and ended up at a nice little nearby family restaurant. After a nice meal, I wanted to go to a farm, so we drove through the city to Forsyth Family Farm, one of last year's favourite destinations. We had a tractor ride, went for a walk in the enchanted forest, then came back and played with the animals. I got to take a newborn lamb for a walk... pretty neat! It was lots of fun.

We kinda lost track of time, and had to rush home to make our dinner reservations - Gammy and Grandpa met us at Mariachi's, where we all had a really nice Mexican dinner. Delicious! We came home, discovered that Basil had trashed the place while we were gone (He left Mommy a few Mother's Day 'presents'), and I REALLY fought going to bed.

The Fairytale Book of July Stories

[As transcribed by Daddy]

This morning Mommy had a pretty brutal headache - she managed to get me to my swimming lesson, but the weird pressure outside and thunderstorms (and hail!) pretty much kept her under the weather literally and figuratively. She and I went to the chiropractor's as soon as we got home, after which Daddy took us to the new outdoor mall for which he helped do the advertising over the past few years.

He and I bought Mommy the second half of her birthday present (only two months too late) - a nice necklace at a cool store stocked with brand new Cinnamon Bunnies. We also went to a nice bookstore, but I was so exhausted from my swimming lesson and emotional and bored that I started to strain on my parents.

We came home, had some lunch, and I played video games while my parents napped. After they woke up, we loaded into the car and drove to Guelph to take GG to dinner with Gammy and Grandpa. At first, I was pretty freaked out and did my "I'm too shy" routine around GG, but eventually I came out of my shell and had a lovely dinner.

After we got home, I FINALLY decided to help Daddy with the storybook he wanted me to make for Mommy... it's called "The Fairytale Book of July Stories" and it's adorable.

Basil the Hero

[As transcribed by Daddy]

This morning Mommy loaded me into my little trailer and biked with me all the way to Julie's house - most of that is uphill! As soon as we got to Juli & Sarah's, she passed out on the floor.

We had a great visit - Sarah and I played really well together, and had several discussions about Toopy & Binoo. Aside from that, Sarah was my Mommy's little friend and sidekick for most of the time. After eating both my own lunch and most of Mommy's, we headed home, and stopped at the park on the way. I saw my friend Mia... we had a nice time.

The afternoon was fairly quiet. I got kinda bored playing outside, and played some video games. When Daddy got home, we had a nice dinner outside and dessert with Grandpa and Nee-Nee. Basil surprised us all by being a big, brave hero and scaring away a raccoon that was coming WAY too close to our meal.

Then it was time for a (abnormally fast) bike around the block!

Kindergarten Surprise

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Despite the really lovely weather outside, Mommy and I slept in a bit this morning and then kinda stayed inside and did a lot of cleaning up. I can't say I was too thrilled about that. However, Mommy kept me happy by moving an easel outside, where I did a bunch of lovely paintings.

Anyway, after a lovely dinner, Mommy surprised the life out of me by telling me that we were gonna go to kindergarten (for an open house) today. To say I was happy is an understatement - I think my cousins in Montreal could hear my cheers of joy.

Mommy and I Daddy and I walked over there, and it was great! I had a blast playing in the classrooms, checking out the library, and running in the gymnasium. Daddy was pretty weirded out being in a school he hasn't been in since he was ten years old. His old kindergarten teacher even remembered him AND cool Uncle Gareth!

Tales of Dinosaurs and Allergies

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I went to dance class this morning... I danced away while Mommy waited around, knitting a toy frog for Daddy's Partner's Niece, who is in the hospital battling leukemia (and could use your support). Soon after, Grandpa graciously took us to the chiropractor's office, where I regaled Babak with tales of dinosaurs and allergies while he fixed Mommy's back.

After some nice lunch at home, we had a quiet afternoon... I managed to pretty much stay off the computer again, and when Cinnamon Bunny requested some fresh air, we took him for a quick walk around the block.

After Daddy came home, it was time for homemade sushi and asinine battles with a local raccoon who wouldn't stay away from Mommy's birdfeeder.

The Biggest Tantrum In the History of Socks

[As transcribed by Daddy]

The computer was off-limits to me today... therefore, Mommy and I had to make do with other stuff, such as board games, some housekeeping stuff (Mommy cleaned out my bedroom closet) and some outdoor activities... especially given that none of the rainy weather we were supposed to get showed up.

We WERE gonna go to the playground today, but when I couldn't manage to get my socks on properly I threw the biggest tantrum in the history of both socks and sock-related tantrums. As a result, we didn't go to the playground... I went to my room.

In the afternoon, Mommy loaded me into my little bike trailer and took me for a spin around the park - for forty-five minutes! The poor woman was exhausted, especially what with having to push the bike and trailer up a forty-five degree incline out of the park.

We took it easy in the evening - Daddy brought home an awesome DVD for me to watch (I love it!!) and we did some grocery shopping.

May The Fourth be With You

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I went to playschool today - it was pretty good, as usual. Afterwards, we came home and hung out for a bit... and managed to avoid watching any television until after lunch! I helped Mommy plant a whole bunch of flowers outside, but managed to avoid doing anything that would get me very dirty... thus relegating me to watering-can duty. I played with some toys and stuff, too.

In the afternoon, I watched a little bit of television, and then went over to Gammy and Grandpa's and helped them prepare their dinner. I went home and helped Mommy cook dinner as well, and it was pretty delicious! As soon as we were finished, Mommy and Daddy took a walk around the block... I did a lot of starting and stopping on my bike.

When we got home, we discovered that the chicken carcass Mommy was boiling on the stove (to make stock) had burned, filling the house with the smell of burned Moroccan chicken. My room was too stinky to sleep in, so I got to sleep on Mommy and Daddy's bed instead.

Don't Pick the Trilliums

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I had something of a quiet morning - we eventually dragged Daddy out of bed and had a lunch of cold leftovers and stuff. I informed Grandpa that he was to come with us on our weekend hike, and surprisingly, he was very happy to oblige!

Due to some traffic issues, it took us a long time to get to Hockley Valley via some detours, but once we were there, we all had a great hike. Grandpa and Daddy took lots of pictures, Mommy and I resisted picking the trilliums, and Basil exhausted himself.

We had a nice drive home after the 90-minute (or more) hike, during which I napped. Once we got home, I watched some dinosaur DVDs, had a nice dinner, and passed out.

Mrs. Eyes

[As transcribed by Daddy]

What a fun and awesome day. After a pretty good swimming lesson (A very good assessment was delivered to Mommy by my instructor) Mommy and Daddy took me downtown to see a really amazing puppet show put together by some of our friends! I got to meet puppeteers, I got to meet and see cool puppets, I saw a fantastic show, got to make my OWN puppet ("Mrs. Eyes"), and was even brought on stage at the end of the show to talk about it! Without being told to, I had my puppet speak to the audience and everything. I'm a natural on stage!

After spending more time with the puppeteers, Mommy and Daddy took me to a fantastic noodle bar (at my request) for some delicious lunch. We'll go back there for sure. We hit a nearby bookstore, but I was starting to tire out from the day's excitement and was becoming pretty clumsy.

We did some more shopping for odds and ends and came home for a big fat bowl of homemade guacamole (another of my specific requests) for dinner. I was asleep kinda early... after all, it was a really busy day. But also an awesome one!

Agency President

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy slept in while I ate a number of apples for breakfast this morning... once she got her act together, we had Grandpa drive us to the subway, and we took it to see Daddy at work! We joined him and his friends Lisa, Matt, Nik, and Paul for lunch... I ate a massive amount of Mexican food.

We stopped back at his office once we were done - I went around the place both charming AND impressing the heck out of everyone I met. After a fun game of catch with Nik, there was a surreal moment when the President of Daddy's company met me and was totally taken with me - she hugged me, picked me up, and sat me in her massive office at her desk and took photos of me as the new 'agency president'. At one point she offered to take me away from Mommy and Daddy so that she could look after me instead... I was close to freaking out, but calmly explained to her that my Mommy and Daddy love me and don't want to leave me alone. I'm right, of course... they do love me, and were very proud that I kept my cool.

Mommy and I did some walking around in the neighbourhood before taking the bus home - at that point I was pretty wiped out. She and I had a quiet evening and I went to be a bit early, meltdown included. Daddy's out at a class reunion of sorts and won't see me until tomorrow.

Neglected Beach Scene

[As transcribed by Daddy]

We got even more rain today, unfortunately. Mommy wasn't exactly feeling well, either - something made way worse when she ate a couple of apples in the afternoon that she's pretty sure made her even sicker.

The two of us managed to watch some television, go outside, play some board games, do some arts and crafts, and even get some tidying done in the meantime. Mommy felt kinda bad when I put together a beach scene / diorama in my bedroom and she was too busy tidying the kitchen to come and look at it with me... but she made it up to me with a nice dinner and some more fun and games.

I invited Grandpa down to watch a puppet show in the afternoon, and renamed my pig puppet "Batman" despite the fact that everyone thinks 'Bill O'Reilly' is a funnier name.

I'm a happy kid living with my parents and our dog in Toronto. I'm goofy, sweet, smart, extremely chatty, and pretty much the cutest kid on the face of the Earth!
