My Family fell into the Goo!

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Well, I think my cold seems to be getting better! I had a pretty low-key day of playing in my room, playing video games on the computer, and visiting with whomever will pay me any attention. My folks also took it easy - they were gonna do stuff, but got stuck watching some cooking show marathon on television.

After Cool Uncle Gareth came home from a visit with GG, we took him out to the new sporting goods store to buy some boots. Daddy and I both stocked up on new footware, and then we all got some tea.

I tried to play a quiz show video game with Daddy and Gareth, but cried when my character got dumped in a vat of goo. When Daddy's did also, I ran to Mommy, becasue "My Family fell into the Goo!" Mommy's massive roast beef dinner made me feel better.

Stayin' in my Jammies

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I woke up this morning to discover that Cool Uncle Gareth was around - I went over to Gammy and Grandpa's place and clung to him! He's awesome and so much fun - unfortunately he's getting pretty sick (Mommy's illness is getting worse, Daddy is getting much better), so he's not able to keep up with me.

I asked Mommy if I could keep my jammies on today - she was cool with that. She helped me set up my new dollhouse in my bedroom as I wore my new tutu as well. I played a weird cat-stacking game on Cool Uncle Gareth's iPhone (I'm really good at it!) as well as some other video games with Gareth and Daddy (when he wasn't taking the car back to the rental place).

I went over to Gammy and Grandpa's place while my folks went out to stock up on groceries - Grandpa read to me, which was nice. Mommy came back and made an awesome dinner - I watched Jeopardy! with Gareth and Daddy before bed. Getting read was easy - I didn't have to change into my jammies, since I was already wearin' em'.

Buffalo Blizzard

[As transcribed by Daddy]

We left Altoona at a pretty good hour this morning, having endured something of a light snowfall in the night. Mommy's cold might be getting worse, so she tried to take it easy for most of the drive. For the most part, the drive was pretty quiet, aside from getting stuck behind slow-moving trucks in the Allegheny mountains...

...until we hit Buffalo. Suddenly, we were hit by a MAJOR blizzard, and barely managed to crawl our way through the city. There was about a foot of visibility, a foot of unplowed snow on the interstate (and no snow tires on the rental car), and loads of traffic. It was kinda scary - Daddy doesn't think he's ever had to drive in those conditions before in his life. The blizzard was so bad that the border guard couldn't even make out who was in the car. He missed Basil entirely! See the photo above - Daddy took that photo at the border crossing.

Of course, as soon as we hit St. Catharines, the blizzard (and even the snow) was gone and we made it back home in record time - I was so happy to see Gammy and Grandpa! I was so full of beans it's a miracle I ever eventually fell asleep.

Back to Altoona

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I had a nice morning - Nana snuggled me and read to me once I woke up, which was really nice. I made sure I got in some quality time with her before Mommy and Daddy packed up the car with all of our stuff (loading the trunk with my Christmas loot required someone with Mommy's Tetris skills).

We drove over to Aunt Trina's place, where we hung out with Zoe and Papa and all of their dogs, who kinda drove Daddy crazy (what with his sinus headache) and flung themselves at his midsection like little yappy four-legged crotch-rockets. We did get to walk around the farm and take some awesome pictures.

Next, we drove back to the hotel in Altoona, PA - despite some ridiculously heavy traffic in Virginia (where some people like to drive really really slow on the interstate), we made really good time! We dropped Mommy and Basil off at our room, and then Daddy and I checked out "Lights on the Lake" - a huge, tacky, and tasteless Christmas lights display (I loved it!). The employees there need some serious lessons in customer service - but seeing the gigantic "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESUS! from WENDY'S" sign was totally worth it.

Drawing with Kira

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Today I was back to playing with all of my new Christmas toys (all at the same time, mind you) pretty much right off the bat. Everyone gets a kick out of watching my Batman action figure admonish and defeat my Russian nesting dolls.

My parents braved their illnesses and drove (following Nana and Jim) over to Aunt Trina's place in the mountains - what a lovely view they have, on a fantastic little piece of property! I watched my new Grinch movie with Papa, and then Trina's friend Olga came over with her daughters, Kira and Sam. We played outside a bit, and then came back in, ate a late lunch (early dinner?) that Trina prepared for everyone, and then Kira and I sat down and drew pictures together. She's a really talented artist - I tried to learn as much from her as I could!

Zoe and my parents and I drove over to Lynchburg and did some shopping, using Zoe's Best Buy employee discount (which, had he known what it was going to be, Daddy would have used to EMPTY THE PLACE OF MERCHANDISE).

My parents drove me back to Nana's place in Chatham - I snoozed in the car, but was full of beans when we got back, and went to bed kinda late.

Christmas in Virginia

[As transcribed by Daddy]

As you can imagine, I was pretty thrilled to be up this morning, and to find the vast amount of gifts that appeared under the Christmas Tree in the night! I could barely contain my excitement - I was like a... like a... like a kid at Christmas!

Trina and Zoe and Papa (and their two skittery little dogs, Frinkle and Sarah) arrived, and before long we were opening presents left and right. I've accumulated so much loot that we're gonna need a truck to haul it back across the border! I got books, art stuff, clothes, action figures, a snow globe, a jack-in-the-box, and my much anticipated doll house! Each gift I opened got a louder and more exuberant reception!

We all enjoyed a massive brunch and spent the afternoon together - we had originally planned to visit Trina's friend Olga for Christmas dinner, but the torrential rain paired with my parents' brutal head colds pretty much put a kibosh to mountain driving and holiday germ-spreading. Trina, Zoe, Papa, Frinkle, and Sarah headed to Olga's, and we were more than happy to have cole slaw and leftovers for Christmas Dinner.

Christmas Putty

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I was up and at 'em early this morning - I kinda think my cold is getting better, while Mommy and Daddy's are getting much worse, unfortunately. We all took it pretty easy today... Jim pulled me around outside on a sled he made out of a garbage pail lid. It was pretty fun!

Papa came over on his way to Aunt Trina's from South Carolina. I was really excited to see him! Basil was so excited he vomited all over the carpet.

I did a lot of playing in my room, baked some cookies for Santa with Mommy, and I even wrote him a letter! Nana let me open up a present from my stocking - I played with that Silly Putty all day long.

Blue Ridge Mountains

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Not a lot to really discuss today - my family and I fought off our collective colds and left the Motel after ten in the morning (now that the sun was up, we all could see the giant anti-Darwinism billboard hanging above the parking lot, overlooking Altoona).

The ride was long - Daddy started suffering from heart paplatations (!) once we crossed into Virginia - maybe it was the coffee, maybe the altitude, maybe his cholesterol - so Mommy took over and drove the rest of the way. We even drove in and out of some snowy, winding Blue Ridge Mountain routes which were a little bit precarious.

I was really glad to finally arrive at Nana's house - we had a nice dinner of chicken soup (for our colds), I played and played and played in the room Nana set up for me, and Basil once again threw up all over the carpet.

Altoona

[As transcribed by Daddy]

We all had a rough night last night - head colds, clogged sinuses, coughs, and scratchy throats. None of us slept all that well... but I did sleep in a little bit.

Mommy and I prepared and packed for our big Christmas trip... she gave me lots of time to process that we were going to be in the car for a loooong time. Daddy got home from work (sick as a dog) after lunch - we ate and then loaded up the rental car with all of our gear.

The drive out was okay... we were stuck in Toronto traffic for hours, which was terribly boring. The sun hitting us in the face made us sleepy, including the driver (Daddy) who I became very concerned with - I kept telling him not to crash, because crashing would make the car rental company very upset with him. Daddy also now knows that driving up and down and in and around the Allegheny mountains with a screaming sinus headache is a TERRIBLE THING.

Basil and I were great kids on the trip, and didn't complain much. I napped on and off, and ate a fancy packed dinner. We arrived at the Super 8 Motel in Altoona late in the evening - I fell asleep, and Basil threw up on the carpet.

Family Cold

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Daddy is trying to do the blg propery tonight but is shivering so much due to the world's fastest oncoming cold and cant seem to type proper;y (much worse than he usually can type, in any case) Its a miracle that the sound of his chattering teeth arent' waking up everyone in ht ehouse!

I had a nice day with Mmmy today - we worked on daddy's secret present and tried to shake the illness that has snuck up on all of us. Actually, scratch that - Mommy is so insistent that she doesnt even have a cold and that she'd gonna banish whichever germs are currently causing her discomfort through the power of positive thinking. like she Usually does!

Tomprrow we all have one heck of a long drive after Daddy gets home from the office... thirteen hours through a snowstorm to th great State of Virgini, to see Nana and Trina and Zoe and Jim and Papa. If you're reading this, Nana, put the pot of chicken noodle soup on the stove as soon as you rea this - we're coming and we're bringing coplds!

Here's daddy's company Christmas card!

I ROCK!

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I had a pretty nice morning - more ornaments in my advent calendar, and then I was able to persuade Mommy into making chocolate pancakes for breakfast! We all had a pretty fabulous brunch.

In the afternoon, I pretty much stayed home the entire time... Mommy did some gift wrapping, Daddy played some video games, and I played with my toys on the living room floor. I joined Daddy for some Rock Band - I quite enthusiastically played guitar and was ridiculously thrilled with how well I thought I was doing. I ran through the house exclaiming "I ROCKED!"

I stayed with my grandparents while my folks did some grocery shopping, and then joined them for a lovely Greek dinner once they got home, followed my a snuggle with them on the couch as we watched television together.

Stuffed!

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I let Daddy sleep in today to see what would happen if we didn't wake him up... he didn't get up until one in the afternoon! I was totally shocked and baffled. How is that even possible?!

After he had his lunch, we took me to the outdoor mall, where we saw two of the loneliest reindeer fenced off in the main square standing on the cold ground with a tiny bale of hay to share. We don't know much about reindeer keeping, but it seemed pretty awful and inhumane to Daddy. In any case, I picked out some presents for Mommy (I was very decisive) and we brought them home.

I went with Gammy and Grandpa over to Lucie and Richard's place for their annual Xmas open house, and charmed everyone - I asked for sushi, explained my wheat allergy, and played with baby Charlotte and the girl (Zoee) I honestly thought was Charlotte's mom. My parents joined us and took me home.

Then we all headed back out again, with Nee-Nee in tow, and went to an awesome Ethiopian restaurant downtown. We had to wait for a loooong time for our food, but when it arrived we all absolutely devoured it in record time. I think everyone within a ten-block radius could hear me announce "I'M STUFFED!"

Flamoramso

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I slept in a bit again this morning - Mommy and I spent a good part of the morning snuggling in bed and reading storybooks. Eventually we got our act together and had a nice day - it was cold out there again, and Mommy spent most of the afternoon (while I was in school) out and about buying Fabric and riding busses.

School was really busy - the last day before the holiday break. Santa visited us, which was pretty awesome - I told him about the gifts I want for Christmas (my parents were surprised by my recent revisions and are hustling accordingly), got some treats from friends, came home and fed them to Daddy, since I can't eat most of them due to wheat allergies.

Mommy cooked a chicken for dinner - I managed to keep about 50% of it off of the floor, and about 25% of it out of Basil's mouth. Before bed, I invented a new matrial art - something I call "Flamoramso", which is a combination of tumbling, gymnastics, and monkey fighting.

A Star is Born

Christmas Concert
Originally uploaded by Clover_1

I slept in a little bit today - but when I woke up I sure was amped for tonight's Christmas Concert! I could barely contain myself, and my excitement carried me through the morning and lunch.

Mommy braved the cold weather taking me to school - we gave Christmas cards and presents to Mrs. Bartlett, Mrs. Macintosh, Mr. Sheffle, and even to my friend the crossing guard! At school we did some rehearsing for the concert, and by the time I got home I couldn't wait to go right back to sing!

Daddy rushed home from his company Christmas party in time to take us to the school, where I took the stage with the other kids and gave quite the rousing rendition of several holiday classics. I was something of a real ham - I did all the actions bigger than the other kids, and since I was standing front row centre, I was able to take really really big bows. Everyone applauded and were so proud of me!

Daddy took Mommy and I out for take-out Swiss Chalet (my request) for dinner, and then headed back to his company Christmas party. He wouldn't have missed my performance for anything.

The Aging Sandwich Dream

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Last night, I reportedly had a dream about a sandwich that just kept getting older and older... there was even a little meter thing that measured how old the sandwich was. At one point, the sandwich was fifteen years old!

I had a nice day with Mommy today - we did some crafting, worked on some Christmas surprises, watched a little bit of television, drew some pictures, and played in my room.

At school today, Adriana suggested that I get some Hanna Montana boots. I expressed my concerns with Mommy - I really don't like Hanna Montana, but all the other kids do. I seem to be the only one in my class who doesn't care. Should I? My parents like that I'm not into Hanna Montana, truthfully.

First Field Trip

[As transcribed by Daddy]

This morning in my advent calendar I got a new Christmas nightgown - I love it! For some reason I was very surprised to learn that Mommy made it for me... it's not like she doesn't frequently make stuff for me.

We had another little singing practice at school today, and got to see some singers come to perform for us in the gym - AND I got to go on my first ever field trip! We all took a walk over the the post office. Not much of a big deal... I've been to the post office before.

Mommy and I had a nice afternoon together, and then Gammy and I spent some time together this evening for our scheduled knitting lesson (I'm making a scarf for Cinnamon Bunny). I got to stay up a little late to watch another Christmas Special!

Basil's Briefcase

[As transcribed by Daddy]

We got loads of mail today - Christmas cards from friends, contact lenses, printer ink, tacky 1970s Christmas decorations, and a phone bill. Pretty decent haul!

At school today, Adriana - a girl I've been having some issues with - made me a picture, which was really awesome. I was very happy to declare that we're friends again! Being in kindergarten sure is awesome. While I was at school, Grandpa looked after Basil, who wandered around the house with Gammy's briefcase in his mouth. Later, it was discovered that there was a fruitcake in said briefcase.

Mommy and I worked on a secret present for Daddy in the afternoon, and then we all had a lovely dinner and watched 'Smit-Busters' together before bed.

Fantastic Mr. Fox

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I had a nice morning while Daddy slept in - I got some homemade hair elastics in my advent calendar, which made me pretty excited. Mommy and Daddy promised to give me a surprise - we drove downtown to pick up a CD from Daddy's friend (same as last week) and then headed off to the surprise.

When we drove past the Dinosaur Museum I got pretty excited - but that's not where we were going. We did some quick shopping at the bookstore, and then we all went and saw a totally amazing movie that all three of us absolutely loved! It was great, and I was pretty well behaved - I ate a lot of popcorn and drank an entire vitamin water...

...which we think what was turned the rest of the afternoon pretty foul for me. As soon as we got home I was ridiculously cranky and miserable, I kept crying and getting angry, and my folks aren't really into putting up with it. I felt bad, since we had such a great day. Oh well. I went to bed a little early... probably due to all of the day's excitement.

Dancing with Santa

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I let my parents sleep in for quite a while this morning, and spent the better part of the morning with Gammy and Grandpa, who made me breakfast. I asked for some Tambourine Tea, which confused them until they realized I meant orange tea.

After a nice lunch with my folks, I played in my room and drew some pictures before we headed out to Shops at Don Mills for some weekend shopping. We got some books and then I ran into Santa Claus in the mall - I was so happy to see him, I ran right up to him and gave him a huge hug! Some carolers emerged and sang to us, so Santa danced with me. It was such a perfect moment that shop owners came out of their nearby stores to watch!

I snoozed in the car on the way home - Mommy made hors d'Ĺ“uvres and then a delicious dinner. I got to stay up playing pretty late, talked to Nana on the phone, and made decorations for her Christmas tree.

The Drowning T-Rex

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Once again, Mommy and I had a lovely morning of drawing pictures, playing board games, telling stories, and stuff. No television or video games, I'm happy to announce. I drew some pretty stunning pictures of dinosaurs, including a great sketch of a drowning T-Rex trying to come up for air.

It's really cold outside. There was some drama on the way to school, considering that the wind was totally blowing in my face... and then when I'd get all bundled up I'd complain about being too hot. Ah well. More of the same drama on the way home.

Mommy made a fantastic black bean soup for dinner, which we all enjoyed with some cornbread. I asked for and then had a fantastic bath before bed, and am looking forward to the weekend.

Brutal Back Massage

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Man, is it ever a cold one out there (and it's getting colder). Amazingly, I opted not to play too many video games or to watch too much television today, which was good. Mommy and I did a lot of playing together and stuff, which was good.

I was so happy to see snow outside that I hopped and skipped and jumped all the way to school with Mommy and Grandpa, and then hopped and skipped and jumped all the way home again. You've seriously never met someone so happy to see signs of winter, even when said signs are stabbing everyone else in the face.

After Daddy came home from work, I gave my folks a back massage by POUNDING and punching them on the spine. I dunno if it hurt, but they sure laughed about it. I performed some songs from my upcoming school Christmas concert for them and then got naked because I thought it'd be funny.

Sleetstorm

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I coughed through the night - I just can't seem to shake this tickle in my throat. My coughing kept my Mommy and Basil up, too. We got hit by a pretty awful sleetstorm through the night - a mix of wind, rain, and snow. Yuck. I didn't even get to go out there and make a snow sculpture, like I wanted.

Since our internet was knocked out and we were having power issues, Mommy and I played board games and stuff, and kept the television and computer turned off. Luckily Grandpa was around to give us a ride to school, so I didn't have to brave the weather.

After school I visited my Grandparents and then had candy cane ice cream that Mommy made for me when I was at school, and watched one of my movies and did some drawing. Daddy showed me what old vinyl records are - we listened to music together and did some dancing.

Zombie Santa meets The Grinch

[As transcribed by Daddy]

There was something of a traumatizing event this morning when I went over to Gammy's place and found some toys in her closet that I wasn't supposed to see (Christmas presents for yours truly) or play with. I got a new toy car in my advent calendar this morning, however, and the traumatic incident was forgotten.

I drew, like, a million pictures today, and they were all amazing. I drew myself as Pink Batman, I drew a zombie version of Santa Claus, a sugar plum fairy, and I drew an amazing picture of The Grinch. Mommy scanned them and we'll be sending them out as Christmas cards this year, I think.

School was fine today - after Daddy came home from work and we had some dinner, we went to the grocery store and did some shopping. I rode UNDERNEATH the shopping cart, which was fun.

Snow Excitement

[As transcribed by Daddy]

After a nice morning (I got a carrot-shaped cookie-cutter in my advent calendar) and a lovely lunch, Mommy walked me to school - on the way, we bumped into Mrs. Macintosh, who walked me the rest of the way to class.

When Mommy picked me up, I was pretty overjoyed - there was a light dusting of snow outside! The first snow of the year! Nobody else was happy about it (quite the opposite, in fact) but seeing my sheer joy and glee and happiness just made everyone around me light up. I was literally squealing, I was so happy, and bounced all the way home. The man at the corner store / florist gave me a Tiger Lily, he thought I was so sweet!

Of course the first thing I did when I got home was put on my snowpants (even though there's like, less than a mm of snow outside) which I kept on for the better part of the day. I even helped Mommy tidy and baked cookies in my snowpants.

Daddy took us out for sushi and groceries and printer toner after he got home from work. Yay sushi and toner!

Cling Clang, Rattle Bing Bang

[As transcribed by Daddy]

After getting a cute Christmas Tree ornament in my advent calendar this morning, I drew lots of pictures, watched some TV, played some video games, and helped my parents get out of bed by singing a line from the play I saw the other day:

"Cling Clang, Rattle Bing Bang, Gonna Make My Noise All Day!"

After lunch, Daddy drove Mommy and I downtown so that he could pick up some work from a friend of his, and then we walked along Queen West and went to a bookstore, bought some marshmallows, and went to the Trinity Bellwoods Park. On the way back, we picked up some groceries, stopped by the cheese store, got some boxes, and had a nice drive!

While drawing pictures I ate a pen and ended up with ink all over my mouth. The drama that ensued when Daddy tried to clean it up was scary - I was under the impression that having soap in my mouth would make me die. I am happy to report that my mouth is clean, and I am still alive. I sang Home Hardware commercials in the tub to celebrate life.

Mystery Tree

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I let Daddy sleep in a bit today (I got a candy cane in my advent calendar this morning), and then we all enjoyed some lunch before doing some re-arranging of the furniture in the house to make room for a new addition. Daddy sorted through CDs and books (I had fun scanning UPC codes into the computer), and then we headed out to Uxbridge to buy a Christmas tree!

We made it out to Drysdale's Tree Farm, which felt a little bit disorganized... we picked a saw up off the ground, wandered into the woods, and picked a tree. Mommy did most of the sawing while Daddy talked on the phone and lost a contact lens. We dragged it back to a man in coveralls who took some money for it, bound it up, and then I got a hot chocolate. Now grandpa's car smells like mystery tree. Is it a spruce? A pine? We don't know.

After we got home, Mommy made dinner and we set up the tree, which is currently blocking the television.

Much Munsch

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Busy day today. I got some stickers in my advent calendar (My folks are stupefied that something as simple can make me so happy), and then Mommy and I watched a movie this morning, which wasn't as scary as I thought it'd be.

After a small lunch, Mommy and I went downtown to the Distillery district (since I have a P.A. day today) to see a really awesome play. I enjoyed most of it - I'm sure the actors (who I talked to before and after the show) could hear me laughing from the stage.

Mommy and I walked up to Daddy's office and got to check the place out and meet his co-workers... I liked it there a lot, and everyone was really nice. I played some foosball, met the office dog (Benny, but I got confused with one of Daddy's co-workers and called him 'Oskar'), did some exploring, and then Mommy and I grabbed a bite to eat at the restaurant across the street while he celebrated a personal victory at the office.

Mommy and I did some shopping - we stopped by an awesome antique store where they really liked me and let me play the piano, and then we went to a craft store where they really liked Mommy and the clothes she made for me.

We took the subway and the bus home, but got off of the transit syatem as early as possible due to some uncouth teenagers who don't know it's impolite to swear in front of four-year-olds. Mommy and I had a nice evening with Daddy, and then we all went to sleep! What a busy day for us all!

Phew!

Parent/Teacher Conference

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I had a pretty good day today, starting with a little toy snowman in my advent calendar. Score! School was fun - afterwards, Mommy met with Mrs. Bartlett for a quick parent-teacher conference, where we learned that I'm academic rock star, that I love to talk and always have a lot to say and share, am a bit of a tattletale, and take little comments from other kids a little too personally. Nothing to worry about though - we're all learning how to get along with each other.

For the past few days I've been really amped and excited about getting to see Julie + Sarah tomorrow (I keep telling the crossing guard at school about it) - but it sounds like Sarah has chicken pox, so Mommy and I spent some time today choosing awesome alternative plans. It's gonna be fun!

I drew more pictures before and after dinner - and by the way, if anyone out there has seen my Daddy's headphones lying around, please let him know.

Waiting for the Bus

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Once again, the first thing on my mind when I woke up this morning was getting the day's treat out of my advent calendar. Mommy has created a monster! Mmmm, delicious Junior Mints.

Mommy and I had a nice morning, and then I ate a weird gluten free hot dog that weirded everyone out. I went to school, and - awesome news - I got to be the helper again today! So awesome. Mommy and I took the bus to the chiropractor, which was cool (I haven't seen Babak or Debbie in ages), and then we stood around outside and waited for the bus to take us home for FIFTY MINUTES. Thanks a lot for ruining our afternoon, Toronto Transit Commission.

I drew some amazing cartoons when I got home, and was joined by my parents. We had a nice dinner and watched Jeopardy! before bed.

Latkesses

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I was up pretty early, asking Mommy to open up the first pocket of my advent calendar... we were gonna wait until the end of the day, but I couldn't bear to wait so long! So... Mommy and I checked it out (A Playmobil Santa toy!) before breakfast.

Daddy worked from home today, recovering from his total lack of sleep on Sunday night. He also prepped his annual "Songs of the Year' CD, and hung out with me. It was nice. School was pretty good today - there was a big book fair, so I didn't get to take any books out from the library, unfortunately.

Mommy and Daddy came and got me from school - Gammy and Grandpa looked after me while my folks did the grocery shopping. When they came home, Mommy made latkes for dinner - I kept calling them "latkesses", which made everyone laugh!

The Grinch

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Daddy had several important meetings today, and as a result had a hard time sleeping last night. After all was said and done, I think he only slept for three hours. In nay case, he was up and out of the house before Mommy and I woke up!

Today I had a pretty good day. I got the fancy music box I ordered in the mail today. I like looking at it - it has ice skating snowmen on it. Mommy finished the Advent Calendar she'd been making over the past few days, and hung it up on the wall. I had school (I made a firefighter out of construction paper) and swimming class - it looks as though I may have to repeat a year, due to my stubborn unwillingness to perform certain tasks that we all know I can do.

Daddy was home from work early and promptly went to sleep... Mommy and I ordered a pizza, and I got to watch The Grinch on TV (Daddy was asleep on the couch, so we all had to squeeze together) - I have to say, it's even better than the book!

I'm a happy kid living with my parents and our dog in Toronto. I'm goofy, sweet, smart, extremely chatty, and pretty much the cutest kid on the face of the Earth!
