In Heaven

[As transcribed by Daddy]

This morning was my first swimming lesson in quite some time. Mommy and I got to the pool nice and early... once I hit the water, I was in heaven. I also seemed to be farther ahead in my skills compared to the other kids - the instructor would take forever getting them to do something, while I would do it quickly and easily and then go back to playing in the water. I didn't want it to end!

The rest of the day was pretty good. School was awesome... Claire and I played in the playground once class was done. We played 'Death', which made our folks a little... nervous... but when I explained to them that we were pretending to be in heaven and happy, they relaxed a bit.

Mommy and Daddy went for a grocery run in the afternoon, so I hung out with Gammy and Grandpa in the meantime. We had a lovely dinner, and then it was (drama free) bed time!

Treasure Fail

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Daddy had no meetings or interviews or anything today! Mommy and Dennis and I let him sleep in a little bit, and then we all had some lunch, after which my folks took me to school.

Speaking of school, I guess it was pretty good. I'm still a little but moody, so it was somewhat touch-and-go for a bit. My parents and Dennis picked me up and brought me home, which was fine, and then it was time to go for a treasure hunt. It didn't go as well.

Using Daddy's GPS, we looked up the nearest Geocache to our house, and tried to find it on the walk to dance class. Unfortunately it was so mucky and muddy and steep in the park that we couldn't get to it. I was pretty upset about that, which led to a mini-meltdown (which let to a full-on-meltdown at dance class).

Mommy and I left dance class early, came home, had dinner, and I went to bed early - with no fuss.

The Dastardly Adventures of Lemon Hands Man

[As transcribed by Daddy]

The weekend is now done, which means it was back to school today. After a fairly low-key morning (Daddy had lots of meetings), Mommy and I had a nice lunch and then went to class. Mrs. Free wasn't in yesterday, so the supply teacher kept things kinda quiet (one of my friends brought cupcakes to school, but I couldn't have one due to my wheat allergy). I didn't feel like playing much afterwards, so I came right home with Mommy.

At Adriana's birthday party yesterday, I got this weird little action figure with sticky yellow bulbous hands in my goody bag. I called him "Lemon Hands Man" and had many adventures with him throughout the remainder of the day - Daddy loved listening to me have adventures with him as he tried to steal the iMac from my parents (with very little success).

After a nice dinner and a ridiculous amount of spontaneous dancing in front of the television immediately afterward, I went to sleep really easily tonight... the first time in weeks.

Bowling

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I woke up this morning to some exciting news - Daddy downloaded a Geocaching program for his iPhone last night, which means that we can all go on an awesome treasure hunt! Frequently, even! I was pretty stoked and excited to get started immediately, until we all remembered that I had a birthday party to go to today. And then I was even MORE excited!

After lunch, Mommy and Daddy drove me down to the toy store, where I bought a jewelry box for Adrianna's birthday party (Daddy went up the street and picked up yet another Carcassonne expansion, too). Then we came home, I wrapped the present and made some wheat-free foods to take, and we all walked (through the surprising cold weather) to the bowling alley for Adrianna's party.

It was chaotic, but we all had fun (even though I didn't get to have any pizza or cake due to my allergies). It was pretty funny to watch me bowling, according to Mommy, who got stuck with the job of looking after me in all the chaos. I brought home an awesome goody bag full of toys (and candy made with either milk or wheat, which we fed to Daddy).

Party In The Dark

[As transcribed by Daddy]

When is this winter weather ever going to end? The terrible chill, plus Daddy's job situation, plus the approaching one-year-anniversary of Basil's passing is kinda putting everyone into a downcast mood. So, after lunch, we all decided we'd take Dennis for a walk through the park.

It was chilly and muddy, but we all managed to have a good time. Dennis is getting better about not lying down every time any other dog approaches him. We all honestly seemed to feel happier after the walk, and my cheeks were extra rosy by the time we got home.

At the end of the day, I started watching a pretty cool movie, and so I stayed up a bit to watch it AND to celebrate Earth Hour with my family in the dark. It was cool turning off all of the lights and stuff, but for something like the fifty day in a row, I fussed and fought going to sleep, causing my folks to miss Claire's Dad's birthday party. Oh well.

Scrambled

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I had a nice morning together, working on that massive dollhouse that we made the other day out of a cardboard box. We decorated it, built little windowframes and windowboxes, drew roof tiles... we had a great time. We even printed up awesome wallpaper to glue to the inside.

Anyway, we sent Daddy off to another meeting in the afternoon, and then Mommy took me to school. I was still a little bit emotional (probably due to a lack of sleep last night), and apparently had an okay day at school, but when it was time to come home (Daddy and Dennis joined Mommy to pick me up) I was something of a wreck and found fifty things to cry about.

The afternoon was fairly quiet, however. Mommy told me that I could have anything I wanted for dinner, and to everyone's surprise, I chose scrambled eggs and toast. So... that's what I had!

Welcome to the Dollhouse

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I had the cool idea to take the big cardboard box that our ONFC food order came in, and turn it into a fancy dollhouse. Thw two of us had some fun getting it all ready - we cut out window holes, found some decorations, and broke out the primer and paint to do it up nicely. I even drew a bunch of little pictures to hang on the inside walls.

School was okay. I was still a little overly-dramatic about things, but I managed to apologize to Vanessa regarding everything that went down yesterday. Still, I had some problems with my old nemesis in the playground that are most likely actually my own fault, and which I blew out of proportion.

In the afternoon, Mommy and I got back to work on that dollhouse - Daddy was out at a meeting in the later afternoon, and so Mommy and I had dinner by ourselves. Daddy made it home just in time to join us for dessert.

Rock Drama

[As transcribed by Daddy]

We woke up to a massive amount of snow today! What the heck?! And here we were, thinking it was springtime already. I love it.

Daddy was off to another meeting this morning, so Mommy and I had the place to ourselves pretty much until he got back home in time for lunch. We kept ourselves occupied in the meantime. School was okay, but when I discovered that my friend Vanessa gave the rock I gave her yesterday to another kid, I was pretty upset. I mean... I gave that rock to her! Anyway, we discussed it, and she told me that since I lent it to her, she could do what she wanted with it. I saw the logic in this and felt bad, because suddenly I felt as though I broke a promise to her (in that I promised she could have it). This made me pretty sad for the rest of the day.

I sulked in the car as Mommy and Daddy and I went to the butcher for groceries, and then went over to Jenn and Steve and Claire's house to pick up our food order from them. The fact that Mommy and Daddy openly express their disgust at the weather only makes things worse, because I really like it!

I cheered up when our friend Nick came over for dinner tonight, though. Man, was I ever "on".

Relay : Orange

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Some eventful things happened at school today. First of all, I gave my friend Vanessa the rock that I found on the hike Mommy and Daddy and I went on over the weekend, so that made me feel good. Second, we had gym class, where we learned how to run relay races. It involved choosing a colour, wearing a colour, grabbing a bean bag of the same colour, and tossing the coloured bean bag through a coloured target. My colour was orange, incidentally.

I had a pretty quiet afternoon - Daddy was out at meetings and stuff again, so I didn't see him much. I went to dance class with Mommy... which was lots of fun, even though I'm hesitant to perform the steps that I've learned at home for anyone.

I was a bit moody throughout the day - I seem somewhat prone to bouts of sadness and grumpiness. Maybe I'm not sleeping enough. Apparently we're getting lots of snow tomorrow, so let's hope it doesn't dampen my spirits too much.

Back-To-School Wind-Up

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I was so happy to be going back to school today that I had pretty much whipped myself into quite a frenzy of excitement and anticipation! I know it's only been a week since I was gone, but it felt like a month or something. After lunch with Mommy (Daddy was out at a meeting in the afternoon), we walked over to the school, and I got to see all my friends... it was amazing!

However, all of the amazingess - awesome as it was - was compounded by the sheer exhaustion I was feeling from being so wound-up all day. I had a slight issue with one of my friends who accused me of butting into the line, and Dennis bonked me when I met him and my folks after school, and I was left emotionally drained.

We did some grocery shopping in the late afternoon, and the slightest little thing would set me off. Eventually we got through it all, with a limited amount of tears. Mommy and Daddy and I had a quiet evening - I ate lots of food, and got to visit with my grandparents!

Icy Hike

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Seeing as how today was the final official day of our family 'Staycation', we decided to actually get out of the house and kinda go somewhere or do something cool. So, we dragged Daddy out of bed at something close to a sensible hour, got our stuff in gear, and headed out!

We grabbed some food at the supermarket and ate it on the way and drove out to a specific little chunk of the Bruce trail - the same area we went to about a year ago, when Basil was too sick and tired to keep going. So, we brought Dennis along, and he seemed to really enjoy it, as did we... although there was still a surprising amount of snow and ice still on the ground, which made hiking difficult.

After about an hour of hiking, we headed home. Gammy and Grandpa got back from their whirlwind vacation (whey visited Papa, Nana, Jim, and Cool Uncle Gareth) with presents from all in tow for me! It's great to have them back.

Tidying

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Daddy slept in again! That was okay. Mommy and I spent the morning eating banana and blueberry smoothies. Pretty awesome! Anyway, eventually he got out of bed, but he totally missed out on the smoothies.

The bunch of had a fairly quiet Saturday afternoon - Mommy and I took Dennis out for a walk and stuff, plus I I did some drawing and stuff. Mommy and I really buckled down and tried to do a lot of cleaning in my room - we got a toybox for me to put my toys in, and I emotionally struggled with having to put stuff away or throw it out etc.

Daddy had a big trivia night competition-thing to go to in the evening (to benefit Kid's Help Phone), so Mommy and I had dinner together and watched a pretty cool movie. I even got to stay up a little bit late, but went to sleep fairly quickly.

Jelly Babies

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I had a lovely morning while Daddy slept in until noon today. Mommy and I went to the park, and he spent his spare time working on his portfolio and inventing a new kind of food called "Soy Goat Asaparagus", whatever that is.

At the park, I got pushed by some bigger kid who didn't even see me, so Mommy and Dennis and I went over to the OTHER park, where I made friends with some little girl, who I pushed (on the swing). Fun times! Eventually, we made our way back to the first park, where I saw a friend of mine. We played. It was cool. Dennis wished he could have played with us.

After we got home, Daddy drove Mommy and I out to the bulk food store and the grocery store, where we bought bananas, ramen, and Jelly Babies - the British confectionary made famous in my favourite TV show, Doctor Who. They actually tasted really good!

Tim Burton

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Another day on Staycation, another day kinda climbing the walls somewhat. I've been really good about playing in my room, making crafts, drawing pictures, and working in the activity book we got the other day - but due to Daddy's business with the networking and stuff, I haven't been able to use the computer much. Ursula was over, though, so I got to hang out with her for a bit.

Eventually, I persuaded Daddy to drive Mommy and I downtown to check out the awesome Tim Burton exhibition at the TIFF building. After a difficult time finding some parking, we finally made our way over to the exhibit - I loved it! So many cool things in there, including the actual Jack Skellington puppets! Still, it was a lot of money for a pretty small collection.

We came straight home and I got to work drawing pictures and stuff, seeing as how I was so inspired by everything we saw at the exhibit. After dinner, I was able to wear Daddy down and get him to draw some pictures with me, too.

Treacly

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Well, Daddy's desire to hustle and get down to work (networking, getting his portfolio in gear, taking on the phone, emailing, etc) really put a damper on my day. Here I am, home from school on the March break, and he's not paying me any attention, man! What a drag. I seriously climbed the walls today.

I went for a few walks with Mommy during the day - we took Dennis around the neighbourhood once or twice. Eventually I wore my folks down, and we all went for a drive in the late afternoon to the toystore and awesome bookstore on Mt. Pleasant, where Daddy got a game, I got a book, and Mommy bought a jar of treacle at the English bakery.

Yes folks, it's gotten to the point already where we're buying treacle.

Cheque, Please!

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I started the day off by attacking one of Mommy's rare fashion magazines with a pair of scissors. I cut out body parts from the people in the photos and glued them to another piece of paper, making hilarious collages, which I embellished with my own artwork. The results are spectacular, and blew everyone away. Amazing!

Right before lunch, Mommy and Daddy and I drove down to Daddy's office with Dennis so that we could pick up Daddy's paycheque. We headed home, had lunch, and then headed out again to go for a hike along the waterfront in Mississaugua.

Daddy got some bad news about the future of his company over the phone, so... it looks like his vacation will last a lot longer than we expected. This put a damper on our hike - even Dennis could sense what was up. Daddy started networking immediately, and then we headed home, where he got down to some furious telephone calling and stuff. Dinner was awesome, though!

Let the Staycation Begin

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I worked dilligently to get Daddy out of bed this morning / afternoon. The daylight savings thing is still messing us all up, especially now that it's March break and we're officially on vacation / staycation! We didn't really even get out collective act together until after lunch, when the three of us headed out to the government office so that Mommy and Daddy could renew their Ontario Health cards. And if THAT doesn't sound like an exciting way to spend a vacation, I dunno what does.

Immediately after that, we drove to the supermarket and bought a bunch of groceries, which I'm sure will get devoured in a day or two due to the fact that we're all sitting around at home. We came home, dropped off the groceries, picked up the dog, and headed to the beach!

Dennis had a real blast along the shoreline - he seemed to be equally confused and excited by the crashing surf, even if it was cold. I guess he's never seen anything like it before in his life. He was very well-behaved around other dogs, and only submissively pressed himself down on the ground for another animal once!

DST Confusion

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Wow, daylight savings time really seemed to screw us all up today - Mommy and Daddy ad I spent most of the day really confused about what time it was. Around the time we should have been eating lunch, we all drove out to the butcher to buy some food, and then came home and actually made lunch by the time we should have finished it.

And then, by the time we should have been heading home from the mall, we drove out to the mall (Sherway Gardens - my pick, and somewhere we've never been), did a lot of walking around (I loved Pottery Barn), and then headed home from the mall by the time we should have been starting to make dinner.

Mommy made a fantastic dinner, which we ate right when I should have been going to bed, and then I went to bed when I should have been asleep. Even still, I was too amped up to go to sleep. Let's hope the rest of the March Break is less confusing.

Happy Birthday, Mommy!

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and Daddy were really hoping that they could sleep in today, but not me - it was Mommy's birthday! I was so happy and excited for her that I jumped up and down on their bed until she woke up and baked herself (and me) some chocolate chip scones!

Daddy and I gave Mommy her birthday presents. She loved the clothes and jewelry that I picked out for her, plus the cheese grater Daddy got her. At first she was 'iffy' about the Amazon Kindle that he also got for her, but after about ten minutes with it, she really started to enjoy and appreciate it!

After lunch, we drove out to Queen Street West and did a whole bunch of window shopping. We went in and out of paper stores, toy stores, and book stores... and got coffee and stuff. Once we got home, Daddy had a nap, and then we went back out to Relish for a delicious tapas dinner. The cake (which kinda disintegrated due to lemon curd that didn't set properly) looked weird, but tasted great.

I was emotionally on-and-off all day, most likely due to not having had enough sleep due to all of the birthday-related excitement. Which makes my folks nervous about *my* upcoming birthday.

Limbo!

[As transcribed by Daddy]

So exciting - today was the dance-a-thon at school! It was great. I wore the special tropical-themed dress than Mommy made for me (since the theme was 'tropical fruit'). The first graders joined us, which meant that I got to see my friend Grace. I did a lot of dancing, and there was a limbo pole and everything! So much fun. I ate seven pieces of fruit once we were done, although I can't really remember what they all were. Some of the kids thought I was a little bit too "summered up".

Mommy and I worked on putting together her birthday cake for tomorrow - we made the cake itself, plus Mommy prepped some lemon curd and some icing.

After Daddy got home from work (he's on vacation as of now) we ate a quick dinner and then Daddy took me out to the store of my choice to by some presents for Mommy. I picked everything out myself, and was a really well-behaved.

Goodbye Grandparents

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Gammy and Grandpa left for their vacation today - I made sure to spend some time with them before they left. I was sad to see them go, especially throughout the day when I kept asking to go visit them, forgetting that they were gone.

Grits for breakfast and dinner today, which was a special treat, and worth all the trouble they were to locate in a store here in Toronto. In other food-related news, I was insistent on bringing a peach to school for my snack today - my friend Brendan often brings peaches, and they always look so good. The one I ate today did not disappoint.

I did even more drawing today, and laughed uproariously at footage of Pee-Wee Herman on television with Daddy. Dinner was fantastic, and I decided that I was gonna have a tough time falling asleep last night. I couldn't fight it off forever, though.

Unexpected Tyrannosaurus

As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I watched some television in the morning, and then decided to break out the paints and make some pretty awesome dinosaur paintings. While Mommy made lunch, I designed all of the packaging for yesterday's Ultimate Granola Bar - and even a diagram of how to eat it.

School was fine - we learned a song about peanut butter (and jelly). Mommy and I then took the bus (filled with middle-schoolers) to the subway station. We took the subway over to the organic grocery store, hit a cool kid's store, and found the coolest store - it had a unexpected fossilized T-Rex skull and femur on display, and a really neat geode (that a strange man was fondling in order to absorb its energy while everyone else rolled their eyes).

Anyway, we finally found some grits and other odds and ends, took them home, and had a lovely dinner. Daddy and I watched clips of Nigel Marven on Conan from the night before, and I caught slushy snowflakes on my tongue (which I thought tasted like pink milk and biscuits).

The Ultimate Granola Bar

[As transcribed by Daddy]

As far as Tuesdays go, this one was perfectly average for the most part. There was breakfast lunch and dinner, there was school, there was playig with Claire in the playground afterwards, and there was drawing and reading and video gaming scattered throughout.

I had a pretty great dance class tonight, though - Mommy really noticed how focused and attentive and into it I seemed to be... especially compared to the other kids, who I seem older than (even though I ain't). She's very proud of me, and my instructors also seem to think that I'm the ideal dance student. Let's hear it for tapdancing!

The cool part of the day came on the walk home, whhen I went into great detail planning the ultimate granola bar. My version of the ultimate granola bar has chocolate chips, honey, dried apricots, marshmallows, almond butter, almonds, Rice Krispies, and oats.

Also, because it's the ultimate granola bar, it is FREE.

Hopping on One Foot

[As transcribed by Daddy]

No idea why, but I woke up in a pretty grumpy mood this morning. Anyway, it didn't last very long, and before anyone knew it, I was hopping on one foot for the better part of the day. No reason why, really... just hopping. Have you tried it? You should. Hopping on one foot is great.

Anyway, school today was pretty decent... the weather was weird so we all stayed in the classroom and went about our usual business. Mommy had an awful headache and went to the chiropractor while I was at school, and needed to lie down once she got home. Therefore, Gammy and Grandpa came to pick me up from school today, which really really made my afternoon! What a treat!

Daddy put on another Doctor Who documentary for us to watch during dinner. As much as I absolutely love Doctor Who, I find documentaries about the show to be quite boring.

Rainstorm Snowstorm

[As transcribed by Daddy]

We had a nice Sunday morning - Daddy was a little groggy, due to staying up late waiting for some work to come in (which it didn't). We had our customary smoked salmon weekend lunch, and then braved the snow (did I mentioned that there was a snowstorm after the rainstorm last night?) and headed out into Markham for a hike.

Our first hiking choice was snowed in, so we found another access point to York Regional Forest and went for a walk through knee-deep snow. Dennis enjoyed himself, even though snow kept getting into his boots, and I had a great old time flinging myself around into the snow.

Once we got home, we had a nice dinner and then I went to bed. Meanwhile, Daddy stayed up late once again, waiting for that work to come in (it didn't).

Rainy Parking Lot

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Record rainfall! It's been pouring ever since last night... it's like a big mucky lake outside today. We were hoping to go hiking or something, but it's probably best to stay away from rivers and unpaved areas, which could disintegrate into muck.

After lunch, Mommy and Daddy and I drove out into the rain to take care of some errands. We got some fabric, some pet food, and some other odds and ends before heading over to the mall so that I could get some bubble tea. We honestly don't think we've ever had to work harder to find a parking space in our lives... looks like everyone is hiding in the mall to avoid the rain! Maybe that explains why it was so hot in there!

I hung out with Gammy and Grandpa while my folks and Dennis went to the butcher to buy groceries and stuff. We had a lovely dinner, and then I had a hard time going to sleep, seeing as how I was thinking about which 'tropical dress' I would wear to my school's 'tropical twist' party next week.

ULTRA3

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Well, today was my final swimming lesson of the season, and I am very proud to report that I successfully graduated from my current level. My instructor has suggested I sign-up for "Ultra 3", which is great - only I have about four months to go before I'm even old enough. In any case, everyone is very proud of me.

School was good today - I went to the music teacher and specifically requested that she write out the lyrics for 'Puff the Magic Dragon' so that Mommy could sing the song to me at bedtime. What can I say... I really like that song.

Daddy came home from work a little bit late tonight due to some going away parties for co-workers and stuff. I did him a huge favour by taking his shoes off and rubbing his feet while he lay face-down on the bed. He fell asleep in the process.

Two Strikes

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I had a pretty average morning, followed by a pretty decent lunch - school was pretty awesome I guess. We did more singing of "Puff the Magic Dragon", which has really become a favourite song of mine. After school, I was happy to frolic and play in the playground, but then Mommy came to pick me up and had Dennis with her, and since he's not exactly allowed on school property, we had to leave. I was pretty mad. That was strike one.

When we got home, I was really hungry. I had a snack, and then immediately wanted another snack. Mommy wasn't cool with me having multiple snacks, so she turned me down. I was mad. That was strike two.

In the evening, Daddy and I watched some cool videos online, and then he remembered watching Yellow Submarine when he was in senior kindergarten. So we put it on TV - I really liked the first ten minutes, but then I had to go to bed. We'll pick it up where we left off another time.

The Locket

[As transcribed by Daddy]

A while back, I was shuffling through Mommy's jewelry box (something I've been pretty into lately) and found a cute little locket, which I asked to have. Mommy showed me how it worked, and explained the concept of putting pictures of loved ones inside of it. I took two drawings of Dennis and Basil to school so that I could cut them out and put them in the locket, but due to a scissor-related mishap, I cut away all of the picture of Basil except for his butt. And I lost the Dennis drawing today.

When I got home, Mommy printed up two small pictures of Dennis and Basil, which we cut out and put in the locket (although Daddy did think it was funny that I had a drawing of Basil's butt in my locket), and I've been wearing it around ever since!

We all learned 'Puff the Magic Dragon' today at school, and then went to a seminar in the gymnasium about the dangers of marijuana. Actually, I'm only kidding about that last part.

Pink & Black

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I spent a good chunk of the morning reading books and putting puzzles together. It was pretty cool - have you ever read the Captain Underpants series of books? Seriously, man - those things are so funny. They've inspired much mirth in our household.

At school today, we had gym class - Mr. Sheffle broke out the cubes, hula hoops, scooters, and long ribbons, and we played with those. Mayhem, I tell you! We also had our big picnic snack in class.

Grandpa gave Mommy and I a ride to my dance class in the late afternoon, where I finally got ahold of the outfit I'm gonna wear at my recital. It's hot pink and black (like my Pink Batman costume) with polka dots and big bows. And I LOVE IT.

Mommy and I took the bus home, where I promptly put my dance costume on once again and modeled it for everyone!

Bonk

[As transcribed by Daddy]

At school today, I had a supply teacher. It's not that I don't like my regular teacher (which I do), but I also happen to think that our regular stand-in, Mrs. Gamble, is pretty great. Anyway, school was pretty good today. Unfortunately, on the way home from school, I slipped on some slippery snow and fell down on the sidewalk, bonking my forehead. I got an awesome goose egg and some serious road rash on my face, but Mommy was impressed that I didn't freak out very much.

Also on the way home from school, we stopped by the toy store to pick up a new little toy bed - seeing as how Dennis ate my other one. New toys rally help make you feel better if you've bumped your head on the sidewalk.

In the afternoon, I watched a movie and drew lots of pictures as inspired by the work of one of my favourite artists, Tim Burton. I drew a guy with a vampire head, peaches for wheels, Jack Skellington-style tuxedo arms, a scissorhand, a swirly jacket, and 'Corpse Bride' arm.

I'm a happy kid living with my parents and our dog in Toronto. I'm goofy, sweet, smart, extremely chatty, and pretty much the cutest kid on the face of the Earth!
