Old Gammy?!

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I had a kinda quiet morning - we snuggled a lot at first, and then kinda hung out outside to get some gardening and stuff done before heading out on our trip to the States tomorrow. The rain hit us pretty hard in the afternoon, so we came inside and did the regular daytime stuff... you know, drawing pictures and video games and stuff. Basil and I visited with Gammy a whole lot, too. She's pretty cool. When I found out it was her birthday tomorrow I was excited, but expressed a lot of concern that she was gonna be an old lady.

The Nixons are back to visit Gammy and Grandpa, and for some reason I was really kinda keen on Uncle Roger. I invited him to see my room - in order to clean it up for him, I moved all of the stuff off of the floor and onto my bed. Mommy didn't think that was sufficient, so there was no visit.

We had a nice birthday dinner for Gammy - and the Nixons even game me my first fourth birthday present a little early! Awesome!

Lord of the Dance

[As transcribed by Daddy]

It was pouring with rain for the better part of the day - which sucks for everyone in town for the massive Pride Parade (made even worse by the continuing garbage strike). Ah well. We all kinda stayed indoors today - Daddy and I played video games, I did some drawing, and watched some TV. Oddly enough, my parents needed to run some errands - I asked to stay with Gammy instead, who happily watched programs about Celtic step-dancing with me. You should see my attempt - not exactly graceful, but most assuredly energetic!

After my folks came home, Mommy started work on dinner and Daddy had a nap while I tried to wake him up to play with me. We all ate a ton of food, watched some television, and as soon as the sun came up, we headed down to the beach for a nice walk. The sun was setting, I threw rocks into the water (nearly hitting Daddy several times), and was afraid of the tide.

As soon as I went to bed, the rain made quite the comeback.

Watching Tightrope Walkers

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I had a nice morning of playing, video games, and Saturday morning cartoons before Mommy and I got Daddy out of bed and we headed out for the day. I asked to go for a picnic, so Daddy and I bought supplies at the grocery store and then we went out to a park in the city and had a nice meal while we watched tightrope-walkers train a few feet away.

The bunch of us drove way back out to the Strawberry Patch for the second Saturday in a row (I slept for most of the way)... THIS time they were open. We picked a few cartons of strawberries, I ate about twice as many as I put in my basket, and Daddy almost got sunstroke.

We then drove to a nearby mall where we looked at boos and did some window shopping. We all got some new clothes - I got a new pair of sandals! We drove all the way home, picked up a rotisserie chicken along the way, and devoured it for dinner. Phew!

Poop Announcement

[As transcribed by Daddy]

After watching a few Michael Jackson music videos on the internet (I Like the one with the zombies), getting a crazy amount of hits to my Flickr feed thanks to yesterday's picture (which someone Tweeted), Mommy and I decided to take the bus out to the beaches to do some shopping.

We bought some napkins, a candle, and I even picked up a new pair of sneakers and a balloon! We went for a nice pasta lunch, which was pretty delicious, and then we went to the toy store to buy a new Playmobil toy - as a reward for not biting my fingernails, of course (Daddy's still waiting on that PS3). I need to learn that I don't have to announce "I HAVE TO POOP" to an entire toy store, though.

We took the bus home and had a nice dinner - joined by Daddy, who got home a little late due to a company team building exercise out in the middle of nowhere. He helped sing me to sleep after my bath.

Clover's First Blog Request

[As transcribed by Daddy]

In a sign that one day I will want to take over writing this blog from Daddy - today I made my first ever blog request. Despite not knowing who Michael Jackson is or why he's culturally significant, I specifically asked to be photographed learning of his death on the internet, and then I asked that this posed photograph be posted on the blog.

Aside from that, I watched a Harry Potter movie with Mommy during the day, and kinda liked it (although I made sure we paused it in the middle so that I could watch my daily episode of Little Bear). During the movie a massive thunderstorm rolled in, which frightened Basil quite a lot.

After the rain cleared, I played in the puddles a little bit, and when Daddy came home, he took Mommy and I outside to take photos of the huge and beautiful rainbow that appeared in the sky! I was really worried I was gonna get squished by a car. Mommy, who wasn't feeling great, then finally made the Little Bear-inspired fish stew I've been requesting for months. None of us liked it.

Carol Brown Just Took A Bus Out Of Town

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Daddy was out at a client presentation before I was even awake. I hadn't really seen that guy in, like, 24 hours! No fair! I took out my frustrations in the backyard by getting ahold of the garden hose and just drenching everything in site. Mommy, Basil, Mommy's book, and of course myself. Mommy made me put on my bathing suit - I ran through the sprinkler with my dinosaurs, one by one. Then it was over to the sandbox, where I quickly dried off in the piping hot summer air - and got sand everywhere!

Later on during the day, I watched some television and played some video games before Daddy FINALLY came home from the office and joined Mommy and I for dinner. Daddy and I decided to go out for a drive together - he took me to the record store, and then we went to Starbucks and I got a juice. I decided I wanted to go to Best Buy to play some car-related video games, and then we sang songs on the way home! What a fantastic evening.

Bunny Bugs and Clover's Club

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I took the subway over to Carrot Common today - a nice local organic grocer / health-food place that I havem't been to since I was, like, a baby or something. We had a good time, getting groceries and doing some window-shopping and stuff. On the way home, we were gonna check out the grand re-opening of the local farmers market, but it looks like it's not happening... maybe due to the recent garbage strike.

I really wanted a scratch card from the corner store (Nana is quite the influence on me), but settled for a lollypop instead.I exclaimed to Mommy that it was a 'Bunny Bugs' lollypop... on closer inspection, Mommy discovered that it had pictures of Bugs Bunny on it.

After we got home, I made a sign for my bedroom door reading "CLOVERS CB" - I told Mommy it was supposed to read 'Clover's Club.' We fixed the sign and put it on my door - anyone who wants to join Clover's Club is totally allowed!

Daddy was late at work again and didn't get home until after I went to bed... but I'm not mad. He can still join my club.

Christmas in June

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I was a much better behaved kid today compared to how I was yesterday. Mommy and I took it pretty easy - it was so hot and sunny outside that I asked to watched my Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer DVD.

I visited with Gammy and Grandpa and the visiting Nixons today, which was really nice - for some reason, I was excited to show Wendy my "bright bright bright bright bright bright bright pink" bathing suit. I'm sure she found it fascinating.

Mommy cleaned the living room today - while she did that, I cleaned my own room, and then messed it all up again. After Daddy came home from work, he took Mommy and I grocery shopping and to the bank to deposit his Cash Cab winnings!

Nipsee Nipesee Nipsee Nompsee

[As transcribed by Daddy]

For Father's Day this morning, I wrote Daddy this poem:

Father's Day
I love you.
How much do you love me sir?
Oh no, I love you six hundred hundred and seventy.
And then they met
Nipsee Nipesee Nipsee Nompsee.

I also got Daddy a black rubber ducky (I got Grandpa a blue one). For the rest of the day, with those pleasantries over with, I proceeded to drive my parents absolutely crazy!

We drove out to do some strawberry picking, but our usual berry patch was only taking cash, which we didn't have. So... we went to another little place, picked up some berries and veggies, picked up a birthday present for Nee-Nee, and then came home. I should mention that I was extra whiny and difficult the whole time.

Daddy passed out on the couch with a bad headache, Mommy prepared some food for dinner with my Grandparents and the visiting Nixons, and I bounced around from person-to-person. Dinner with Gammy and Grandpa and Nee-Nee and the Nixons was really nice!

Hopefully I get a good night's sleep tonight and end the shenanigans.

We're off to see the Wizard

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I was up before my parents and kinda ran rampant through the house. I visited my grandparents - they gave me some tea and a waffle. Cool, eh? I had a quiet morning... after a simple lunch, I joined my parents for a trip to the butcher, and then I played some video games with Daddy.

After Daddy took Grandpa out to a movie for father's day, I ate a whole package of rice crackers, watched some television, visited with Gammy, and really really hoped that Daddy would bring back The Wizard of Oz - a movie I decided that I'm finally ready to watch!

Well, he didn't. So... he had to go out once more and get it. Once he had it, he joined us for dinner - at my request, we ate pizza and chicken wings, and watched The Wizard of Oz. I wasn't scared at all! I even got to stay up past my bedtime!

The Plant Planted in the Planter

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I woke up pretty early this morning and paid Gammy a visit - I was happy to see her for the first time in something like a week! She gave me a quick update on how the bean plant I planted in the planter on her deck is doing, as well as her tomato plants and stuff.

Mommy and I had a nice, travel-free day. Actually, at one point we took the bus up to the mall (apparently Daddy neither ate any food nor purchased any new food while we were gone), but we didn't buy anything.

After Daddy came home from work, we had a nice dinner and then Daddy and I hung out and played and read books before bed. We both missed each other a lot over the past week!

Five Hours in Philly?!

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I were up nice and early today so that we could spend some quality time with Nana and Jim before heading home. After breakfast and a nice visit, we left Virginia at 9:30, made it to the airport, and boarded a flight from Lynchburg to Charlotte - I waved goodbye to Nana until the plane was in the air!

We had a ridiculously short connection to make in NC - we ran to our next flight (skipping a meal), and ended up waiting on the runway for an extra hour or something. Unfortunately...

...this meant that we also missed our NEXT connecting flight from Philadelphia to Buffalo. As a result, Mommy and I had to wait for the next flight - which meant we had to kill five hours in the airport lounge in Philly. Thank God I had books and notepads and pens and activity books. We ate some food, went on some walks, and I made friends with everyone in sight. Finally, we boarded the plane and flew to Buffalo. I entertained the people around me (except for the lady next to Mommy, who seemed annoyed).

Daddy was happy to meet us in Buffalo - and we were really happy to see him! He drove me back home to Toronto - I was zonked for the entire drive. We got home after midnight - funny thing is, if Mommy and I had driven home from Virginia, we would have gotten home faster.

Harassment!

[As transcribed by Daddy]

It was rainy again - luckily, Nana bought me a cool rock painting kit, so I painted rocks. It sounds more interesting than it sounds, I promise. A bunch of us drove to the village of Chatham, where Mommy found me a pretty cool book - and after peeking in on an antique store, we stopped at a nice place for lunch (I had a hamburger patty and fries). All was fine until we stopped at a bank to get some money... apparently there are no ATM machines in the banks in Chatham, VA. Bizarre.

I mowed the lawn with Jim today, which was a lot of fun! Jim was kinda joking around with me... Nana asked me if Jim was harassing me. Now, I have NO IDEA what "harassing" means, but I picked up that it was something bad... and even though I dunno what it is, the idea that Jim was doing it AT me made me pretty upset. How dare he?! I stormed into the house - Mommy asked me what was the matter, and I said "Don't worry Mommy, you'll hear." I went inside and let loose with a purposefully audible angry outburst.

Whatever, maybe it was all the steak I had for dinner. Best get it out of my system before coming home tomorrow.

Lottery Winner

[As transcribed by Daddy]

I woke up with the kittens today at Aunt Trina's house - one of them, a goofy looking orange one that Mommy named 'Argus' has become a favourite of ours. If Daddy wasn't so allergic to cats, we'd totally take him home. I'm sure Basil and Gammy would take issue that as well, actually.

I was playing outside and spooked the dog, causing him to run into me - I fell over and scraped my knee and the side of the my face. If you know me, you know how paranoid of scrapes and boo-boos and stuff I am (as well as how prone I am to getting them). I threw something of a fit, but I'm okay now.

Anyway, today Papa dropped us off at Nana's as he drove back to South Carolina, and we bid him a sad goodbye. Later, Nana and Jim took us to North Carolina to buy scratch tickets - I scratched one and won two bucks!!! I was so excited! We went to the dollar store and bought two new dinosaurs!

Other than that, we kept things quiet - we bought some cookie dough, I went for a walk with Mommy and Nana and Charlie, drew some pictures for Nana, was pretty excited to see (and use) a computer, plus I got to stay up late to see the fireflies outside!

Eating like a Hobbit

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Well, today was definately the quietest day of the trip, which is probably what caused all of the excitement and momentum to just kinda hit me while my guard is down, making me pretty testy and grumpy. For example, the papercut I got today pretty much ruined it - I went through three band-aids and a whole lot of pain and suffering, let me tell you!

Nana and Jim visited us all here at Aunt Trinas, and brought a big old birthday cake with them for Zoe's birthday next weekend. Mommy made a delicious peach cobbler. At one point, Papa pointed out a bush behind Trina's house and warned everyone not to let me see it, lest I pick the berries off of it. However, when he pointed it out, he also pointed it out to me. I stripped it of berries in record time.

Zoe thinks I eat like a hobbit. For breakfast, I ate cereal with berries, a broccoli omelette, bacon, one of Mommy's poached eggs, and a giant peach.

The Tick II: Return of The Tick

[As transcribed by Daddy]

After breakfast, a quick visit with Branda and the loss of my television-watching privileges due to a TV-related freakout, Mommy and Papa and I drove off to Virginia.

The drive was okay - I drew pictures and had a few pitstops, but other than that, the drive was pretty darn long and boring. Once we finally arrived at Nana's house, I was happy to be out of the car! I was very happy to see everyone - Zoe and Trina and Nana and Jim and stuff, not to mention all of the little pet kittens everyone has! I devoured the three planet-sized peaches we picked up on the way. Meanwhile, a second tick (on my tummy - the same place I got once before) tried to devour me. Trauma!

We brought Zoe back to Aunt Trina's house, where we all had another fantastic visit. For dinner we had BBQ chicken, ribs, and butterbeans - and Mommy would like to mention that those baby kittens are the best babysitters, because I spent something like two hours just playing with those things, and never once called for my Mom or asked for food or complained or anything!

Pontooning

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Papa took Mommy and I to the local resturant for some breakfast, and then we met up with Mrs. Richardson, who drove us to the town of Manning, where I bought a life jacket.

Then it was back to Mrs. Richardson's house, where we met her son John and his girlfriend - they took us out to Lake Santee, where we went for a lovely ride on a pontoon boat. I was under the impression that there would be fishing - when I learned there wasn't, I was pretty upset. Luckily, someone found a rod, and despite no fish being caught, I was happy to have gone fishing.

We all went swimming - luckily, John's neighbours have a whole bunch of little girls who played in the water with me. It was really fun! The only way to lure me away from the good times was the promise of hamburgers, which I devoured along with corn, chips, and a box of Cracker Jack. Mommy got her second sunburn in as many days.

John entertained me with his remote control airplane, and then played us all some lovely songs on the guitar - I sang 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' with him. Very sweet.

Pawley's Island

[As transcribed by Daddy]

After a nice breakfast, Papa drove Mommy and I all the way to the ocean! How cool is that?! We went to Pawley's Island and made a (pretty sad) sandcastle, walked along the beach, and even splashed and played in the water! I didn't like getting water in my face, and Mommy had a tough time taking pictures, but we really did have an awesome time... maybe even better than the last time I was here!

After eating a quick lunch and multiple bathroom breaks, we went to visit Mommy's Grandma again. As usual, I was really nervous about going in, but once I was there I was pretty awesome and sweet and extremely friendly. Papa snoozed in the car while Mommy and I waited out another thunderstorm.

Next, we went to Mommy's Uncle Russel's place, where everyone watched me play with my little cousin Tommy... we played so well and were so watchable that everyone forgot to eat dinner. Mommy and Papa and I ended up heading back to Papa's house and having a really late dinner there.

The Tick

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Phew! What a day! I had two huge breakfasts - one at Papa's, and one at 'Fred's' restaurant (actually Joyce's restaurant... I couldn't remember her name so I called her 'Fred'). Next, we drove over to see Mommy's Grandma at the senior's home. I was nervous about seeing her again, but they let me push her up and down the halls in her wheelchair, so that was fun. We left as friends.

Mommy discovered a tick living on my tummy - it really freaked me out, and I remained nervous about ticks and things, and have been continually checking to make sure there isn't another one there. Yikes.

We went to a nice restaurant for lunch (I ate a lot), and then we took Mrs. Richardson's car in for servicing, and I had a popsicle while we waited. Back at Papa's, we tried to do some berry picking... after Mommy and Papa got the four-wheeler out of the mud it was buried in, Papa took me for some rides on it - I even got to "rock and roll" by turning the gas on. Awesome!

We visited my goat Pumpkin at her new owner's place, visited Brenda at her store, did some more berry picking (I seem to even love the sour and unripened berries), and then went home for another sandwich and bedtime. A fantastic, churning and boiling thunderstorm filled the sky, blocking out the sun, and knocking out the power. We loved it!

Pickling Cucumbers

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and Daddy woke me up really early this morning so that we could all drive across the border to Buffalo. Daddy made me a CD of my favourite songs, and we listened to that - once we made it to the airport, Mommy and I rushed to catch our plane and bid a quick goodbye to Daddy.

My ears hurt on the first flight, but the second flight was over so quickly I barely had enough time to take off my coat. Papa and Mrs. Richardson greeted us in South Carolina, and I just started yammering and didn't stop until I went to bed at the end of the day! They took Mommy and I to a buffet for lunch, and then we went to Mrs. Richardson's house, where I was re-united with her swing.

Papa took us over to Deena's house, where I met her horses Flynn, Polly, and Prancy, and then Deena took us for a ride on her golf cart! Next, we went to the home of a lady named Joyce, who had a garden full of pickling cucumbers. The sight of me walking around with a cucumber in one hand and a shaker of salt in the other, munching away, was priceless.

Before bed, we hit the local grocery store for some wheat-free food, had a sandwich for dinner, and fell asleep during a warm summer thunderstorm.

An Unexpected Choice

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I went to the drug store to pick up some supplies for our massive trip to South Caroline - I really wanted to buy an activity book, which they didn't have. Mommy let me pick anything else... and my choice? A HUGE BAG OF FROZEN CHICKEN WINGS. Even better than an activity book.

After coming home and eating almost the whole bag (we're talking something like 40 wings!), Mommy cut me off, which upset me a little bit. We took a trip to the chiropractor, so Mommy could get her back fixed, and then came home again. I think I was still probably covered in BBQ sauce.

Daddy came home from work and took Mommy and I out for dinner after a quick visit with Julie & Sarah - I wasn't exactly starving after all those chicken wings, but Daddy taught me how to eat spare ribs like a champ. When we came home I didn't want to go to bed - I'm so excited for tomorrow's trip! And full!

The Marshmallow Incident

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Today was cool. Mommy and I had a nice time together just doin' the usual thing... we snuggled, played tickle games, played board games, played outside, and even did some baking together. We took the marshmallows we've been cooking over the past few days, cut them up, and coated them in shaved coconut. The funny part came later on, when Mommy saw me playing in my room and noticed that I was covered in marshmallow. She asked me if I had snuck some, and I had the audacity to suggest that I didn't. Soon Mommy discovered mass quantities of raw marshmallow sheets had been eaten off of the pan in the kitchen... she raised strong concerns that I might have a stomach ache. We talked it out after some nervous drama. When Daddy came home from work, I asked that she not tell him.

After a lovely (non-marshmallow-based) dinner, Daddy took Mommy and I to the grocery store where we bought enough stuff for him to eat while Mommy and I are on vacation in South Carolina this week.

In other news, the concept artwork I helped Daddy with for his new Invesco Trimark project were a big hit at the office. I'm ready to be an art director too!

The Canadian Pavilion

[As transcribed by Daddy]

This morning I joined Gammy and Grandpa at their place, and we watched the Turkish GP together - I was very happy that my favourite, Jensen Button won.

After some lunch, Daddy and I headed out on yet another one of our 'Daddy-Daughter Days'... we stopped off to sell some of his old CDs, and then drove to the zoo! We had a really good time - for the first time I can remember, we went to the Canadian pavilion and checked out the Grizzly Bear, did a lot of walking, bumped into Ursula, and then got a big toothy smile from our old favourite the Tapir (see photo).

After a nice drive home, Mommy made us a big sushi dinner. Daddy and I played some video games together, and then it was off to bed - I was pretty exhausted from that walk to and from the Canadian Pavilion.

International Trail Day, or something

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Today was my last swimming lesson, and I can't say that I entirely decided to play ball, exactly. I didn't ever feel like doing what my instructors wanted, and was kinda on the difficult side. Oh well. After we came home, I watched Daddy play video games and joined my folks for a light lunch.

Today is International Trails day or something, supposedly, so Basil and my folks and I drove out to [what we thought was] the Bruce Trail for a hike. I complained most of the way there, driving Daddy crazy, and the trail we found was kinda weird - it was littered with horse manure, flies, mosquitos, swampy marshes, and bad smells. Having said that, it was pretty good - we luckily avoided getting horribly lost, and Basil fell neck-deep into a pool of mud.

On the way home we grabbed some nice ice cream and snacks in Orangeville, and as soon as we got home, we gave Basil a much-needed bath. Like me, he wasn't really into the whole swimming thing today.

Meta-Portrait

[As transcribed by Daddy]

All before lunch today, Mommy and I did some laundry outside, played with my toys and made little diorama scenes in the lawn, took the dog for a pretty awesome walk through the park, and then we got ahold of a huge saw and used it to cut down one of the neighbour's treebranches - it was reaching over our backyard fence and really kinda casting a huge shadow over my sandbox and the lawn (don't worry, we asked permission first). Mommy makes for a great lumberjack!

After lunch, Mommy and I took the subway to the Doctor's Office... I wasn't too thrilled to be going. I anticipated being pretty bored, which I was (although it was funny to watch me play with my toys in the middle of a pretty packed waiting room). I surprised Mommy by drawing a really cool picture of myself drawing a picture of myself. Very meta!

After we got home, I played with Daddy before dinner, and then we watched some game shows before bedtime.

Great Day for Up!

[As transcribed by Daddy]

This morning I was hanging out in my room with Basil, and then complained to Mommy that something in there smelled really bad. Worried I had left food in there or something, Mommy came into my room - I pointed at Basil and said "It's THAT."

Mommy mowed the lawn today and did a lot of tidying, while I avoided any and all work. After lunch, Mommy took me to the local movie theatre to catch a new movie I haven't seen before! I was so excited - and even though I kinda cried during some of the scary or sad parts (like the part where the bird got bitten on the leg, and I was worried it wouldn't be able to take care of its kids), I really seemed to enjoy it. "Up" was awesome!

After we came home, Daddy played spaceships with me and watched some funny Muppet videos on the internet. Suddenly, the internet went down right when I wanted to watch "Mahna Mahna"... so I cried and screamed "Maaaahhnaaa Maaaaahhnnaaaa!" as I was dragged to bed. I didn't think it was funny when Daddy filled in the "Doot-doot" parts.

The Case of the Missing Cell Phone

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Mommy and I took Basil for a pretty nice walk today, and along the way I kinda fell down and skinned my knee. I've got something of a blood phobia, so that kinda thing really freaks me out. I'm okay now, though. Once we got home, we all played outside... I dragged a whole bunch of my toys into the yard and played with them there.

Later in the day, Mommy lost her cell phone. The two of us must have turned the whole place upside-down looking for it! After Daddy came home from work and helped us look, we heard her phone ring... ...buried in the comforter on my bed. Mommy asked me why my phone was there, and I told her "Because I put it there." Then she was all "So, why didn't you tell me it was there?!" and I was all "I forgot!".

Daddy and I played together before dinner, and afterwards I joined my parents for a fun evening of grocery shopping.

Manicure / Pedicure

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Today was fairly uneventful. I did an awful lot of playing in my room, even when I wasn't supposed to be. For example, while cleaning my room, I went from carefully putting away my toys to suddenly finding myself playing with my toys.

Mommy and I took a nice walk over to the drug store, where I wanted a magazine or a treat or something. I was talked out of a snack and into some toenail polish, which came in handy when we went home... to celebrate me not biting my nails, Mommy gave me a little manicure and pedicure. She clipped my fingernails (something she hasn't done since I was a baby) and painted my toenails.

I also got to talk to a bunch of my southern relatives over the phone today. Other than all that... I seemed kinda exhausted and probably a little bit cranky. I got to stay up a little later than usual, though. That's always something of a treat.

Trading with Téa

[As transcribed by Daddy]

Well, it was my final playschool class of the year... kindergarten, here we come! Anyway, I said my good-byes to friends like Téa[sp?], who I traded hats with.

Mommy and I had a pretty enjoyable afternoon. After lunch, she did some gardening and stuff while I played. We did some of the usual stuff, like playing dominoes, practicing reading and writing (my handwriting is bizarrely legible or a kid my age), and I even got to hang out with Grandpa for a bit today.

Daddy was out appearing on a television show after work, so Mommy and I had the early evening to ourselves. We watched a really fun movie that we rented yesterday and ate pizza and wings. Pretty awesome :)

Clo-Varr The Dandelion Smiter

[As transcribed by Daddy]

After some delicious pancakes, Mommy and Daddy and Basil and I drove over to the supermarket, picked up some picnic food, and then went on a long drive through the city to the town of Cheltenham, where we found a nice trailhead and had a picnic right in the middle of what felt like a freezing windstorm! We then went for a nice (but ridiculously straight) hike, where I walked through some tall grass, played with buttercups, and where Daddy taught me how to kick dandelion stalks. He and Mommy called me 'Clo-Varr The Dandelion Smiter", but I didn't like that.

We took a quick trip to the nearby Cheltenham Badlands, where I did my best to get my parents to play "Little Red Riding Hood" with me. After carefully walking up and down the rolling read hills and enjoying some slender walkways, we drove home through the city again. I slept in the car.

Once we were home, we had a nice evening of Dinner and video games.
